22 Feb Barn Wedding | Folwark Ruchenka | Humanist ceremony
I’m coming back.
I woke up in the morning even though the last day was quite long. I’m not tired. I’m entering the car. The trees outside the window looks like beautiful green mosaic and the speakers are playing quiet acoustic guitar sounds. My favourite Spotify playlist… what a day! I’m trying to get back to all those yesterday moments, but I can’t because so many thoughts are running through my head. I think my mind can’t decide which thought is more important… more beautiful. Another pushes the previous one. Oh dear she looked stunning… He was such a cool guy and he had amazing friends. Their families were so lovely. How real were their emotions and joys. I have an impression that it’s not a backback with camera and sd cards in my trunk, but a magical box with tons of smiles, thousands of tears and endless love.
I try to decide in my mind which part of that day I liked the most and I can’t. It’s hard to put the stories together. I would almost like to tell them all at once.
Is the venue the most beautiful part? Folwark Ruchenka is for sure one of the most outstanding places I have ever been to.
Are the feelings and relationships beautiful and true? Otherwise, I would not cry several times.
Are the people creating that day? They seem like old friends I’ve met not for the first time.
The weather is beautiful. I pull over and stop to clear my head with something cold to drink. How I will edit this video? The ideas are popping out in my mind. I would love to write them down, but there is too many of them. I already know that this wedding video will be more than just a film.
When I’m writing this text it’s been a while since Patka & Mikka got married and I still can’t calm things down.
Patka & Mikka are not just a couple I have made a video for. They are a good friends now – we still keep in touch. This is why I like to be a wedding videographer so much. This is something more than filming shots behind the camera and editing it in the program. There are such days when people open up their hearts for you and they trust you completly. And after that the magic happens. You can’t plan it, learn it or staged it. The history is giving it’s own direction to you work.
I don’t want to describe what has happend during their wedding. You have to see it by your own eyes. Sometimes you can’t describe things by words. This is why the wedding video has such an emotional value, beacause it helps describe the things you can’t find the words for in dictionaries.
The road is almost empty. When I’m coming back I very often decide to use side-roads. I’m enjoying the landscapes. Today is the day that I’m not in a hurry. I’m stucked inbetween yesterday and today. I’m so happy about my job and how the fate pushed my life.
